Gren Forte has been DJing since 1998. Throughout his career he has held down residencies at some of the most influential night clubs in Cape Town. Included in this impressive list of residencies are infamous venues such the original Fez, Rhodes House, and Opium. In the early 2000s he played the main stage at numerous legendary parties including the Camel Experience, and Fez street parties. In 2003, Gren Forte spent 6 months playing in London with regular guest spots at Heaven, Rouge Club, and Boujis.
He has played alongside some of the most significant artists including Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Mark Knight, Paulo Mojo, and Tom Neville. In 2014 Gren Forte opened the main stage for the Ultra Cape Town festival, warming the floor for international acts including Tiesto, Nicky Romero, and Martin Garrix. Currently Gren Forte has a residency at night club Coco and a bi-monthly guest appearance on Saturday nights at HQ. Preferring to be somewhat lower key in the industry, he believes success is based on solid hard work in order to deliver consistent good quality sets. He plays a fusion of deep, tech, and house. Without a preference for either his sound is always distinctly abundant with soul and groove.
